ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, Tennessee.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: PCU - Progressive Care UnitDiscipline: RNStart Date: 12/14/2025Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, daysEmployment Type: Travel Opportunity:\n Registered Nurse - PCU\n\n Job Details:\n • Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with rotating weekends\n• No call responsibilities required\n• Hybrid PCU/MedSurg unit with 1:7 patient ratios when floated\n• 2 years of nursing experience required\n• Accepts first-time travelers\n• Must live 100 miles from facility\n• Required certifications: AHA BLS (AHA ACLS and NIH preferred)\n• Telemetry experience preferred\n• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation beginning on Sundays with online CBLs\n• Epic charting system experience required\n• Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education\n• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty if census decreases\n• Care for adult patients with daily census of 17 in 19-bed unit\n• Handle various procedures including blood product administration, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and tracheostomy management\n• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams\n• Trauma Level I experience preferred\n• Must complete drug test within 12-14 calendar days prior to start date\n• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines\n\n Facility:\n This healthcare facility operates a hybrid PCU/MedSurg department providing comprehensive care for adult patients requiring progressive and medical-surgical services.
