Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking HR Managers. Key Responsibilities

Recruit, onboard, and retain skilled production, technical, and professional staff.

Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes within a manufacturing plant.

Ensure compliance with all labor laws, company policies, and manufacturing safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).

Develop and implement performance management systems tailored to production goals and operational efficiency.

Administer competitive compensation and benefits programs for the manufacturing workforce.

Identify and implement training and development programs for skill enhancement, safety, and leadership on the factory floor.

Partner with plant leadership on workforce planning and strategic HR initiatives to support production targets.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience in HR management within a manufacturing environment.

In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations.

Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.

Experience with full-cycle talent acquisition and retention strategies for a diverse workforce.

Ability to develop and implement HR policies and programs that support operational efficiency and safety.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.

Proficiency in a second language common in manufacturing workforces (e.g., Spanish).

Prior experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.

Certifications in manufacturing safety (e.g., OSHA 10/30-hour General Industry).
