Job Details:

• Minimum of 3 years OR experience required

• Greater than 3 years experience in an acute care facility required

• Recent level 1 or level 2 trauma experience required

• Charge experience required with additional +$5 charge pay

• Experience in orthopedic, neuro, and especially craniotomy procedures required

• Experience in an academic facility preferred

• Previous travel experience preferred

• Primarily circulate for cases in all surgical services including Level 1 trauma procedures

• Work with laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures, total joints and ortho trauma

• Handle specialty neuro procedures including craniotomies

• Cover 21 operating rooms with 1:1 nurse to patient ratio

• May work various shifts to meet staffing needs but will remain in the OR

• 1-2 weeks orientation provided within the department

• Work with advanced equipment including lasers, endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment, robotics

• Use electronic nursing documentation systems

• Required certifications: Georgia Nursing License or Compact license, BLS (AHA)

• Must demonstrate outstanding organizational and communication skills

• Must speak, read and write English

• Computer skills needed for documentation

• Participate in department process improvement activities and continuing education
