ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fishersville, Virginia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Med SurgDiscipline: RNStart Date: 12/15/2025Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, daysEmployment Type: Travel Opportunity:\n RN - Med Surg\n\n Job Details:\n • Work in a fast-paced inpatient surgical unit with 1:6 patient ratios\n• Previous surgical experience required\n• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required\n• Work every other weekend\n• BLS certification required\n• 40-hour orientation provided\n• Cannot guarantee block scheduling but will attempt to group shifts together when available\n• Must be willing to work required time off (RTO) during holidays per facility policy\n• Care for patients undergoing general surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery\n• Accept pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above depending on surgical procedure\n• Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics\n• Work with 24-bed unit with daily census of 18 patients\n• Skills required include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tube management, colostomy care, feeding tube management, wound care/wound vac, and continuous bladder irrigation\n• Charting experience with Meditech preferred\n• Zero-tolerance policy for THC and medical marijuana cards not accepted\n• Fit testing required with shaving policy for proper mask fitting\n• General RN orientation occurs every other Monday\n\n Facility:\n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical-surgical unit specializing in various surgical procedures and post-operative care.
