Salary Information
Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies**
Nature of Work
The fundamental reason this job exists is to develop and implement a program strategy for offenders aimed at breaking the recidivism cycle, provide field supervision of community corrections offenders, perform case management duties and assist the Director with administrative functions such as the budget, planning and policy administration. Duties will include addressing critical needs in offender’s lives while providing for community safety with community supervision and identifying offenders who qualify for placement in the Montgomery County Community Corrections Program. The position will receive general instructions and reports to the Community Corrections Director.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience in probation case work or other qualifying court-related experience.
NOTE: Must have Certification as a Police Officer by the Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission (APOSTC).
Special Requirements
Must have a valid Alabama Driver’s License.
