DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Processes high volume of currency, comps, coupons, credit cards and gift certificates to meet the guests' needs.
• Accounts for shortages or overages.
• Counts and exchanges currency and coins.
• Processes transfer to vault at end of shift.
• Operates point of sale equipment.
Converts currency and change accurately to process guest's transactions.
• Maintains and understands various promotions to use each month.
• Process credit cards.
• Verify checks.
• Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Checks ID for all transactions.
Provide a positive attitude while preparing food orders and maintaining a sanitary and clean work environment.
• Prepare food orders.
• Follow portion control.
• Keep track of waste, and food spoilage.
• Keep workstations clean, and stocked.
• Insure sanitation standards are met.
• Clean workstations.
• Clean floors, coolers, seals, etc.
• Wear proper uniform.
• Manage breaks appropriately and writes down on break sheet.
• Stock coolers.
• Follow portion control.
• Track waste and spoilage.
• Orders made in a timely manner.
• Organizing area for daily operations.
• Announces order numbers clearly for guests.
• Insures that all orders are complete prior to serving them.
• Maintain a high level of guest service.
Listen and respond to guests concerns to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Refers guest to the appropriate department or function for issue resolution.
Performs all other duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
No minimum education or experience required. One month of related experience is preferred.
Ongoing and/or continuing education maybe required of certain compact and non-compact positions. This will be outlined upon hire by the specific department alcohol awareness, safe
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & DESIGNATIONS
Must meet the requirements as prescribed by the Tribal-State compact for Gaming.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Knowledge of cooking.
• Skills in operating all kitchen equipment, example stoves, broilers, steamers etc.
• Ability to follow and read recipes.
• Ability to keep food prep areas and equipment safe and sanitary.
• Ability to monitor portion control and provide waste sheets.
• Ability to follow procedures and give attention detail.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the group successful and effective.
• Ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds (such as cases of product to and from storage).
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Frequent moderate to loud noise level.
• Frequent warm to cool temperatures.
• Occasional high and low stress levels.
• Occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens.
• Safe food handling.
• Continuous exposure to high concentration levels of tobacco smoke.
