Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated Family Nurse Practitioners to provide exceptional patient care.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Family Nurse Practitioner at Baptist Health Urgent Care, you will be essential in delivering high-quality medical care to patients of all ages experiencing a variety of acute and chronic conditions. Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, you will diagnose, treat, and educate patients while maintaining the highest standards of care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
Offer friendly, accessible patient care to everyone seeking health-related services.
Lead and support during emergencies, maintaining a calm and reassuring presence.
Work in a fast-paced environment with varying stress levels, including flexible hours and frequent interactions.
Conduct medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for a range of services, including primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers' compensation.
Perform medical procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removals, pap tests, injections, splinting, and abscess incisions and drainages.
Establish and monitor appropriate levels of care for clinic patients.
Oversee on-site laboratory services and ensure operations align with medical policies and standards.
Participate in policy development affecting medical practices, quality of care, and patient satisfaction.
Assist with in-service and continuing education programs for medical staff.
Contribute ideas for the growth and development of services within the center.
Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation requirements.
Engage in and lead educational programs for clinic staff.
Represent the clinic in internal and external meetings or events as needed.
Provide mentorship to other medical staff to ensure high-quality services and patient satisfaction.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
Preferred experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Active state license as an APRN.
Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Board Certification.
Current DEA license, or eligibility to obtain upon hire.
Current DOT certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Current BLS certification.
WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. PRN team members are scheduled as needed.

Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 locations in Arkansas and is affiliated with Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers offer accessible healthcare services including treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Locations are open seven days a week, with varying hours. The Fort Smith-Northside location operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. All Baptist Health Urgent Care centers are Accredited Care Centers, committed to safety, quality, and comprehensive service offerings.
