Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with Med Surg float experience for a critical access hospital assignment in Minnesota requiring current or pending MN RN licensure.

Responsibilities

Work in the Emergency Department with required floating to Med Surg across three campuses

Flexible day and night shifts available, working 3x12 hour shifts with start times of 0700 or 1900

Weekend work is required, averaging 6 weekends per 13-week contract

Patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:6 on nights

No on-call responsibilities

Charting is completed using Epic EMR

Must be willing to float to multiple campuses within the health system

First-time travelers will be considered

Must follow designated scrub color for RNs (black)

Holiday coverage is required as needed

Vaccination exemptions may be considered with proper documentation

Fingerprinting in person in MN is required the Monday prior to your start and costs are the responsibility of the traveler

Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract

Perm staff must have been separated for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler

RTO is limited to 10 days per assignment with no time off allowed within the first week

Free parking is available at the main lot

Requirements

Active MN RN license or proof of application (MN is not a Compact state)

Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and TNCC

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience and at least 1 year of Med Surg experience required

Experience with general emergency care for both adults and pediatrics is required

Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is required

OB experience preferred

Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
