Trauma RN Job Details

Location: Conroe, Texas 77304

Unit: Orthopedic Surgical Trauma (OST) – 4th Floor

Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)

Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7p-7a)

Hours per Week: 36

Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule

Number of Positions: 2

Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360-$1460

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience

Experience with chest tube management

Trauma nursing experience preferred

Strong time management and flexibility

Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus

Trauma RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to trauma and orthopedic surgical patients

Manage chest tubes, traction, orthopedic equipment, IVs, oxygen therapy, tracheostomies, and drains

Assist with lines and drains procedures

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Float to Medical Surgical units as needed

Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR

Demonstrate flexibility and excellent time management in a busy clinical environment
