Minimum Qualifications Who We Are: Mental Health Support Services (MHSS) is the provider of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder services for children and adults in Chesterfield County.

We are currently seeking a customer service-oriented Senior Automation Technician to be a part of the MHSS Management Information Systems (MIS) team that provides desktop and electronic health record (EHR) support to 600+ employees.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; college course work in computer science, information technology or a related field preferred; two years of experience in data processing, computer operations or advanced level office work which involved operating and maintaining a personal computer and peripheral equipment and associated software; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and equipment.

Ability to diagnose basic computer problems and to provide technical assistance and support to users; to operate and maintain automated office equipment including personal computer, computer terminal and peripherals, and related software and other standard office equipment; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.

Working knowledge of HIPPA preferred.

Working knowledge of computer hardware and software preferred; Troubleshooting skills preferred.

Knowledge of security standards preferred.

Skill in documentation preferred.

Additional Requirements: * Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.

Duties include but are not limited to the following: * Logs and tracks support calls using an automated ticketing system; * Provides excellent customer service and assists in monitoring the functioning of department systems to verify correct operations and detect errors; supports electronic health records and desktop teams in their daily assignments; * Troubleshoots basic hardware and software problems and resolves these problems; * Creates and maintains documentation of helpdesk tasks; * Installs and performs break/fix support under the guidance of the infrastructure team; * Answers user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operations; and * Performs other related duties as required.

Shift Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m.
