Position Overview

The Estimator & CRM Administrator plays a dual role in supporting TSG Resolute’s operational and customer engagement goals. This position is responsible for analyzing technical documents and preparing accurate cost estimates for manufacturing projects while also managing and optimizing the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with organizational and communication abilities to ensure accurate project costing and seamless customer data management.

Core Responsibilities

Estimating & Cost Analysis

Calculate production costs by assessing material requirements, labor hours, equipment needs, and overhead.

Interpret technical documents such as drawings, specifications, and bills of material to understand project scope and requirements.

Prepare detailed cost proposals and competitive bids for potential new business and customer requests.

Collaborate with engineers, production teams, sales, and suppliers to gather information, clarify requirements, and provide cost feedback.

Work with vendors to obtain material quotes, validate lead times, and monitor supply chain risks.

Factor in variable material/labor rates and propose contingencies.

Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers for cost savings or risk mitigation.

Support sales in customer calls or meetings to explain estimates and proposals.

Define targets such as quote accuracy, turnaround time, and CRM data integrity.

Familiarity with ERP systems as they tie into estimating and CRM. (proprietary systems training will be provided)

Analyze manufacturing processes, recommend efficient solutions (value engineering), and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Track costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure expenses remain within budgeted limits.

CRM Administration

Manage and maintain the company’s CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date customer and project data.

Develop and implement CRM workflows to support sales, estimating, and customer service functions.

Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into customer interactions, sales performance, and pipeline health.

Train team members on CRM best practices and ensure system adoption across departments.

Identify opportunities to improve CRM processes and integrate with other business systems for efficiency.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

Proficiency in cost estimating software (e.g., JobBOSS), CAD software, and advanced Microsoft Excel.

Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).

Analytical & Mathematical Aptitude

Strong mathematical skills for complex calculations and a robust ability to analyze data and solve problems.

Industry Knowledge

Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry-specific standards. (training and support will also be provided in our specific industry)

Soft Skills

Excellent attention to detail, strong communication and negotiation skills, effective time management, project organization and the ability to work independently and within a team.

Education & Experience Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but with experience it is not a requirement.

3+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Negotiable based on Experience.

1–2 years of experience managing or administering CRM systems, or executive assistance/ high level productivity management inclusive of technology.

Experience interpreting technical drawings and using CAD software is highly desirable. Training will be provided and offered to help meet this specific requirement if needed.

Work Environment

Primarily office-based with occasional visits to Customer factory floors or production sites to gather information and observe processes. Remote days can be made available, but the majority of this job’s function will be in one of our manufacturing facilities.

Requires a self-starter mentality and the ability to work efficiently with limited supervision.Company Description
