INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR/PROJECT COORDINATOR

Starting Wage : $44.00 hourly

Position Summary

Principle Projects is seeking Industrial Construction Estimator/Project Coordinator. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of construction methodology, including previous concrete construction experience in Industrial facilities. Construction Engineering Technology and/or estimating experience is a mandatory requirement of this position.

Duties of the Construction Estimator/Project Coordinator

The duties of the Construction Estimator/Project Coordinator role may include the following:

Estimate the cost of materials, labour, and equipment for construction projects from contract bid documents, drawings, and specifications.

Plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.

Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project.

Communicate with the general contractor to scope changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Manage and co-ordinate construction projects, and prepare construction progress schedules.

Manage project administration, including cost control, schedule control and change order administration.

Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.

Develop and implement quality control programs.

Prepare and submit all turnover documentation.

Required Experience and Skills

The successful candidate must have the following experience:

Must have at least five years experience as an industrial Construction Estimator.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Have a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of construction and construction methods.

Have strong planning and organizational skills.

Use computer spreadsheets and databases as well as estimating, take-off, and scheduling software.
