The Tony-award winning UTAH SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL, a professional theatre company in residence at Southern Utah University, is accepting applications for Production Staff for the 2026 season.
The Utah Shakespeare Festival produces an eight-show repertory season and three Greenshows across four venues in the summer/fall of each year.

Contract start dates and lengths vary.
* Stage Management Administrative Assistant/Scheduler: Contract starts in late April through early September * Assistant Stage Manager (Non-AEA): contracts start late April or early June through early September or early October * Greenshow/Words Cubed Stage Manager (Non-AEA): Contract starts in late April through early September * Production Assistants: Contracts start late April through mid/late June or early July.
Date of first consideration: 11/26/2025 * Stage Management Administrative Assistant/Scheduler: * Schedules all fittings, secondary, and other rehearsals in coordination with show stage managers.
* Coordinates all scheduling of rehearsal spaces for the repertory season.
* Creates and distributes daily call paperwork.
* Manages daily operations of the SM office in coordination with the Festival Stage Manager.
* May cover primary or secondary rehearsals as needed.
* May serve as backup/cover stage manager for The Greenshows and/or backup ASM for mainstage shows.
* Assistant Stage Manager (Non-AEA): * Responsible for creation and maintenance of the majority of show paperwork for assigned shows.
* Runs rehearsals and tech in coordination with show AEA Stage Manager and show Production Assistant.
* Oversees all backstage operations during tech and performances.
* May cover secondary rehearsals as needed.
* Will serve as cover (understudy) ASM for assigned shows as needed.
* Greenshow/Words Cubed Stage Manager (Non-AEA): * Responsible for the coordination and execution of the Greenshow and for USF's new play reading series Words Cubed.
* Oversees all rehearsals, scheduling, and paperwork for shows in collaboration with the Greenshow/W3 production assistant.
* Position requires work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
* Serves as the cover for the SM Admin/Scheduler, and may assist with general office duties and scheduling as needed.
* May be assigned to serve as cover (understudy) ASM on other show(s) as needed.
* Production Assistant: * Responsible for assisting with the physical setup of the rehearsal room and for creating and maintaining a variety of paperwork, including taking and distributing line notes, prompting in rehearsals, and tracking script changes.
* Assists ASM with additional paperwork for productions throughout the rehearsal process as needed.
* Production Assistants are present for rehearsals and the tech period only.
Minimum Qualifications * Experience needed varies by position.
* All jobs may involve moving a variety of physical objects, including furniture, props, and scenery pieces and may include work outside in a variety of weather conditions.
