Description

Conduct evaluations for patients across a wide age range, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational insights.

Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate objectives and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.

Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.

Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, nurses, and family members, to formulate comprehensive care strategies.

Provide educational resources and exercises for patients and families to facilitate ongoing development outside the clinic.

Participate in inpatient speech evaluations and therapy as necessary, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation consistent with state and federal healthcare regulations.

Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with industry advancements. Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications

Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills

Expertise in evidence-based interventions tailored for individuals of all ages, along with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues.

Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and professional teams.

Flexibility to adapt therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Sound clinical judgement and strong problem-solving skills.
