The University of Lübeck and the Medical University Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) are seeking a Leading Medical Physicist to join the Division of Interventional Radiotherapy and Brachytherapy at the Department of Radiation Oncology.

About the Center:

Our center specializes in multi-disciplinary cancer treatment and cutting-edge radiotherapy techniques, including VMAT, IMRT, IGRT, Radiosurgery, FSRT, SBRT, TBI, and Interventional Radiotherapy (Brachytherapy). We operate two state-of-the-art linear accelerators (TrueBeam® and Ethos®) with advanced features such as respiratory gating, ExacTrac Dynamic®, and a dedicated planning CT (go.Sim®).

The Division of Interventional Radiotherapy and Brachytherapy is equipped with a HDR-Afterloading Device (Flexitron®, since 2023) and a mobile 3D CBCT (ImagingRing®, Elekta). Treatment planning is conducted using Oncentra Brachy® (Elekta) and VariSeed® (Varian). We treat a broad spectrum of malignancies, including: head-and-neck cancers, uveal melanoma, breast, lung, esophageal, liver tumors, gynecological, prostate, rectal, anal cancers, skin cancers and sarcomas.

Your Profile:

University degree in Medical Physics

Minimum 2 years of experience in Brachytherapy

Motivation to collaborate within a multi-professional team and interest in research and teaching

German language skills (at least B2)

Equivalent qualifications for the radiation protection requirements for medical physicists in Germany.
