Title: Systems Technician
Pay: Based on experience between $40.20- $44.16/hour
Required Shift:
Day shift: Monday- Friday 6am- 2:30pm (flexible pending business needs)
Must be available to be on call (more to discuss during interview process)
Job Purpose:
System Technicians are responsible for making regular, systematic improvements in the safety, efficiency, and reliability of equipment. They define, maintain and execute the Progressive maintenance (PM) program for their assigned systems and for driving continuous improvement, working with Engineering, Technical Services and Production in the design and implementation of new equipment and processes.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or higher
3+ years’ experience in a maintenance capacity within a manufacturing environment
Previous experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, testing and repairing electrical systems and equipment
Experience with PLC installation, programming, troubleshooting and/or repair
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their controls
Steel fabrication experience
Experience operating a Forklift
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical Degree or certificate preferably in Reliability, Electrical or Mechanical
Machining skills
FDA Better Process Control certification
Forklift operation certification
Electrical experience: troubleshoot, test and repair single and 3 phase powered equipment, AC and DC controls systems, AC variable speed and servo drives, etc
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping
Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment
Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment
Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Ability to read, write and understand English
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Creation and maintenance of the preventative work schedule for equipment
Identification of recurring problems and the development of effective solutions to reduce the level of unplanned maintenance.
Install, repair, troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical systems and equipment
Ensuring all PM/planned work orders are coordinated
Training Shift Technicians in the maintenance of assigned equipment and keeping them fully informed about any modifications being made to the equipment.
Application of predictive maintenance technologies and implementation of condition-based monitoring systems on assigned systems in coordination with CI Technician.
System reliability improvement through on-going efforts
Sctive participation with Project Engineers in the design of new systems.
Participation in the general administration of the Maintenance Department through the effective use of SAP, Weever and Microsoft apps as well as involvement in safety, housekeeping, and Best Practice initiatives.
Responsibility for the achievement of quality and food safety
