A Level I trauma hospital in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Vascular Surgery First Assist PA for a full-time locum assignment. The role involves a blend of OR first assist duties, inpatient rounding, and shared call coverage. Candidates should have experience in trauma or high-acuity hospital environments.Key Details:

Coverage Dates: November 24, 2025 - April 2, 2026

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM (4x10s)

Weekend Call: 1:4 rotation (Friday evening-Monday morning)

Weeknight call coverage rotation included

Responsibilities:

OR First Assist on vascular cases (2-6 per day)

Inpatient rounding (10-20 patients daily)

Weekend rounding with vascular surgeon (Saturday & Sunday mornings)

Procedures include: vein harvesting, arteriovenous access, aortograms, bypasses, angiograms, endovascular procedures, and TEE assistance

Documentation, discharge orders, and floor support

Setting: Hospital - Level I Trauma CenterHospital Size: 434 bedsPatient Population: AdultsEMR: Epic

Reason for Coverage: Ongoing departmental support for a busy vascular serviceRequirements:

Board Certified - Required

Active Ohio License - Required

ACLS - Required
