Supports office and Career-Technical student organization processes:

Creates, edits and proofread professional communication in accordance with agency procedures and guidelines. Ensure all documents are high quality, clear, accurate, and professionally formatted. Maintain document integrity by following established protocols for version control and approval.

Provides verbal explanation of programs to the public; uses computer-based word processing tools (Microsoft applications), databases, and spreadsheets to prepare reports, memorandums, and correspondence from written and/or oral instructions; provides support for conferences, workshops, and meetings.

Responds to requests for information and data in a timely manner; creates and/or manages databases, reports, memos, and presentations in support of office work priorities with minimal error; provides support for conferences and meetings; develops and maintains a filing system; answers multiple telephone lines; provides assistance to visitors and stakeholders; provides routine administrative support for program staff in support of activities related to career fields and student organizations.

Assists program administrator by performing routine administrative duties for all career fields; provides support to other units; provides administrative assistance on specific projects as assigned such as assisting staff with travel documents.

Performs other duties as assigned\: assists with mass mailings; attends meetings; types labels; receives, opens, stamps, routes incoming mail, and processes printing requests.

The work location of this position is 25 South Front Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. You will be required to report to this work location full-time, if selected.

If this position is filled with an internal employee who has an approved telework agreement, the employee may be required to report in-person during the initial training period.

24 months of secretarial/administrative experience

Or completion of associate core coursework in Business or any related field

Or 12 months’ experience as an Administrative Professional 1
