Key responsibilities
Installation and configuration: Install and configure network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software, and manage servers and network communication links (LANs, WANs).
Maintenance and support: Perform routine maintenance, apply patches and updates, and troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
Security: Implement security tools and principles to protect networks from unauthorized access, and manage user access and VPNs.
Monitoring: Monitor network traffic, performance, and stability to detect issues and unusual activity.
Planning: Analyze and plan for future network needs, including capacity planning, and implement network changes and upgrades.
