Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Construction Safety Director to lead our company's safety programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial construction practices, with a proven ability to combine strategic program management with hands-on field engagement. The Director will be responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcing safety policies across all projects to ensure a safe work environment and minimize risks.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive company-wide safety program.

Ensure all project sites comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards.

Conduct regular, detailed safety audits and inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Oversee and manage site safety teams, providing leadership, training, and support.

Develop and deliver effective safety training programs for all employees and subcontractors, covering topics such as hazardous materials, fall protection, and equipment operation.

Review subcontractor safety programs and pre-task plans for compliance with company standards and project requirements.

Maintain and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends, recommend improvements, and manage regulatory exposures.

Foster a proactive safety culture through strong leadership and collaborative engagement with project management, employees, and subcontractors.

Prepare and submit all required safety reports to management and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience: 5 years of experience in construction safety management preferred.

Certifications:

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification is required.

OSHA-Authorized Construction Outreach Trainer (OSHA 500) is highly preferred.

Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or other relevant certifications are a plus.

First Aid/CPR with AED certification is preferred.
