Overview
Manager of College Councils operates as the manager of all Coordinators of College Councils in the Supreme Office. Directly responsible for membership growth, council experience, promoting faith formation/evangelization, and managing a defined territory as assigned by, and in the manner prescribed by the Director of Military Liaisons and College Operations.
Core Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of the Knights of Columbus College Councils, including subordinate staff.
Promote that the Knights of Columbus are in service to the Catholic Church and exemplify the importance of personal prayer and a lived faith.
As instructed by the Director of Military Liaisons and College Operations, assist with coordinating the KofC College Advisory Board and annual College Conference.
Achieve quotas and drive growth in defined territory via mens conferences, degrees, church drives, open houses, new council development, ethnic development, public relations, event-marketing, and council reactivations.
Coordinate with State Council personnel, especially with the State Deputy and the State Membership Director, on growth, member experience and faith formation.
Participate in state/regional/district meetings and drive strategic planning processes.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
Clear understanding of the Catholic faith and the ability to articulate its importance in councils, on campus, and in society.
Knights of Columbus membership required.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong public speaking skills and experience.
Leadership experience with the ability to motivate individuals and groups toward new actions and behaviors.
Ability to work independently day-to-day and as part of a team.
Preferred
Exclusive knowledge of the laws, policies, and procedures of the Order.
Prior knowledge or experience with local and/or state Council operations.
Education
Required:
BA or BS degree with emphasis in Business, Communications, Marketing, Theology or related field.
Preferred:
MA or MS degree with emphasis in Business, Communications, Marketing, Theology or related field.
3-5 years of public speaking, marketing and presentation experience or equivalent.
Compensation
The wage range for this role is influenced by factors including experience, training, licensure, and other needs. For roles performed in Connecticut, an estimated current range is $59,200 - $91,700. Compensation decisions are determined per case.
Other Details
Authorization to Work in the United States is required. This position is eligible for visa sponsorship.
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the workday. Ability to travel as needed.
