Job for overseeing cash handling procedures, conducting training for staff, and ensuring compliance with financial policies while maintaining accurate records and facilitating smooth operations across all park locations.

* Ensure that all security procedures mandated by the Glacier Accounting Office are followed on a daily basis to allow for secure operations surrounding the main safe working funds and safety deposit box keys for all Glacier Locations in the Park.

* Point of contact for Location Controller, Location Managers, and cashiers in regard to cash handling (payments, end of shift reporting, problems, etc.,) to help ensure that company policies and procedures are being followed.

* Assist the locations with a suitable par level of cash denominations in the cash operations safes to allow for smooth operations at all in property locations.

Complete and submit change orders as needed for the Controller.

* Compiles and inputs data into the Sales and Cash Spreadsheet daily that records all daily revenues and receipts from all operating units.

* Reviews all daily cashier over/shorts and communicates accordingly.

* Maintains a filing system of all daily support documents.

* Reconciles Penny Men machine readings monthly to amount recorded in MI9.

* Cover location shifts when staff is out or during vacancies to include the following responsibilities: * Pick up daily deposit drops and recap envelopes from operating unit safes.

* Open, balance, and accurately record all cash deposits in drop safes that were completed by staff.

Submit cash deposit reports to the Parkwide Location Controller in the Glacier accounting office on a daily basis.

* Consolidate all cashier deposit drops from the manual drop safes into one daily deposit for each property and prepare for pickup by Grizzly Security.

* Assist Grizzly for pickups and drop-off of change replenishment funds.

* Fill change requests that are deposited by property money handlers or requested at the accounting window during standard operating hours.

* Maintain an inventory of all occupied and vacant safety deposit boxes and drop safes.

Work with the Controller for any locksmith needs.

* Control and participate in the collection of all vending monies (laundry, etc.) and ensure that they are deposited timely.

* Accurately balance the cash operations safe on a daily basis.

Submit the completed count to the Controller at the end of each day.

* Conduct/Assist with money handling training classes for all employees that handle company funds.

Follow-up and provide refresher training as needed.

* Issue working change funds and safety deposit boxes to money handlers that have completed money handling training classes.

* Control and monitor distributed banks, logs, keys, and related functions.

* In working with the Controller, complete and submit an annual audit schedule for bank and shift audits and other audits as required.

* Responsible for tracking and recording of food and beverage comp, discount, and void checks, including tips on the various daily worksheets.

* Responsible for tracking and recording employee comp meals and guest coupon meals/tickets in the A&G spreadsheet.

* Send tips and gratuity information to the Assistant Controller and Payroll Administrator every Thursday.

* Assist/Distribute bi-weekly payroll checks to employees.

Return all unclaimed checks back to the Payroll Administrator.

* Maintain an inventory and control of keys located in the key boxes at all locations and maintain the chain of custody for all keys issued for boxes assigned and returned.

* Responsible for the tracking and returning/shredding of found credit cards.

* Perform periodic surprise bank, shift audits, and compliance report findings and provide recommendations.

* Participate in periodic food and beverage, retail, and physical inventories.

* Maintain a clean and organized working space.

* Responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance with all accounting policies & procedures.

* Maintain the desk policy and procedure manual for Location Controllers, Revenue Auditor and the Parkwide Location Controller as needed.

* Communicate with the Glacier accounting offices, as well as other department managers, providing information and assistance as needed.

* Maintain a professional attitude and appearance in order to provide the best guest and employee service.

* Requires occasional travel in the park with a company vehicle to oversee and support the location controllers and location managers.

* Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications * Must have prior office experience, preferably in an accounting office.

* Must have prior cash-handling experience.

* Must have previous computer experience with a working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, Opera, Symphony and MI9.

* Must have a good working knowledge of Windows-based software programs to be able to communicate effectively via email (Outlook) and for tracking and reconciling applicable reports (Excel and Word). * Must have good organizational skills with the ability to maintain flexibility in carrying out daily job duties, organizing and managing multiple priorities and tasks while interacting with a diversified staff.

* Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations in a public setting and professionally resolve job related problems.

* Must be able to establish and maintain an effective professional working relationship with co-workers, the Glacier accounting office staff, and property managers, working together in a positive work environment.

* Must possess good interpersonal skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English.

* Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements include: * Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

* Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
