Assistant Accountant Location: Grimsby Salary: A GBP 35k : A GBP 40k Benjamin Edwards is recruiting for a proactive Assistant Accountant ready to make that next step in their career.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of core accounting functions and play a hands:on role in improving systems, processes, and financial reporting.

Whats on offer to the Assistant Accountant * 25 days holiday and bank holidays * Pension * Training support * Casual dress * On:site parking * Join a dynamic, growing team where your ideas matter The role of the Assistant Accountant * Support and oversee accounts receivable/payable, payroll, cash management, and credit control * Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and financial analysis to support decision:making * Lead month:end and year:end close, manage audits, and liaise with external advisors * Monitor costs, margins, and performance, providing insight to drive profitability * Maintain strong financial controls, ensure compliance, and help streamline systems (including ERP improvements) * Partner with the Head of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic reporting The ideal candidate for the role of Assistant Accountant * AAT qualified or part:qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA (or equivalent) * Proven experience in accounting, ideally in manufacturing or FMCG * Strong technical and analytical skills, with excellent Excel and Xero knowledge * A self:starter with great attention to detail, able to work across all levels of the business If you feel you are a suitable candidate and would like to work for Benjamin Edwards, please do not hesitate .
