* Staff in the Open Case Investigations units will be responsible for investigating and assessing child safety concerns that arise on open, ongoing cases within the region or those assigned to managed care entities.
These positions may maintain a dual caseload, managing both ongoing and intake responsibilities, with a heavier focus on completing out of home care investigations (OCIs). This excludes investigations that may be assigned to a specialized unit at Intake (such as fatalities, or OCIs). These teams will collaborate closely with ongoing case management teams to focus on service provision, assess support systems, and review progress toward case plan objectives.
* This position will coordinate and supervise support staff and caseworkers at the region and provide clinical, administrative, and supportive guidance and supervision to staff.
The employee will help the agency achieve CFSR standards and help ensure service delivery that focuses on safety, permanency and well-being for the families served by the agency.
* Responsible for clinical supervision/planning & caseworker development; supervises and advises staff on policies and procedures for the OCI casework unit; assesses service needs, case direction, case planning, permanency, and contacting community resources.
* Assesses allegations on open cases with the agency and managed care as OCIs and links families with proper services in our community * Provides job specific training for child welfare caseworkers within the regions area * Conducts employee evaluations and other personnel documentation * Performs crisis intervention/counseling * Provides direct and indirect services in the absence of a caseworker * Conducts unit meetings and consultations * Attends required management and agency meetings Master's degree in social work or related area and three years of child welfare/social work experience; or bachelor's degree in social work or related area and four years of post degree child welfare/social work experience * Critical thinking and analysis skills * Ability to navigate Microsoft 365 products and provider databases * Effective written and oral communication skills * Prior supervisory experience in a child welfare setting * * LISW licensure * Experience with providing child welfare supervision (ongoing) and staff training (preferred)
