Position: Certified Medical Assistant

Location: Blythe, CA

Duration: Full-time only

Shift: Day

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Rate: $20.50

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional care to patients and be able to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the evaluation and treatment of patients in a correctional setting

Administer medications as prescribed by the physician or mid-level provider

Collect and record patient information, such as vital signs, medical histories, and test results

Provide patients with education on their health condition and any prescribed medications

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic health record system

Assist with the scheduling of patient appointments and follow-up care as needed

Adhere to all policies and procedures related to patient care and safety

Requirements:

Current certification as a Medical Assistant

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting

Ability to work in a correctional facility environment

Strong organizational and communication skills

Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications

Proficiency in electronic health record systems

Requirements

MUST HAVE STATE CERTIFICATION BY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

American Medical Technologists (AMT)

California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants (CCBMA)

Multiskilled Medical Certification Institute (MMCI)
