Professional Engineer/Project Manager

Our client is a 75 year old, award-winning company looking to add a Project Engineer to their team in Sioux Falls or Brookings, SD. They have a backlog of projects in the area and seek to add a PE who will play a pivotal role in bringing projects to life on time and within budget as they continue to expand.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in written and oral communication in English

Ability to operate computer and relevant software

Capacity to follow written and verbal instructions

Friendly, helpful, and pleasant demeanor

Professional appearance and representation

Proficiency in calculations involving figures, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and basic algebra, calculus, and geometry; Understanding of mathematical concepts and formulas used in Modeling Software Responsibilities:

Develop project plans and specifications

Direct and coordinate work with surveying and civil engineering technician staff

Perform software modeling, construction administration, observation, and startup-related tasks

Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Civil or Civil/Transportation Engineering

Registration as a Professional Engineer in South Dakota or ability to obtain within six months of employment

Training or experience with modeling software for civil-site improvements desirable
