Issue and analyze request for quotations (RFQs) to support PO Clean Energy Systems Capex and tooling
Negotiate price, delivery, quality levels, intellectual property rights, payment terms and other aspects in the interest of PO Clean Energy Systems.
The CAPEX Buyer is responsible for having the skills necessary to lead the regional and global cross-functional team when applicable, in the development and implementation of global commodity strategies as assigned
These include but are not limited to commodity supply positioning, core supplier preferences, bid list development, market trends and footprint, commodity cost structure, current and future business plan, and future action plan to achieve the intended results
The CAPEX Buyer will manage the suppliers within an Extended Enterprise framework in support of the team in accordance with the Purchasing Responsibility Matrix
Responsible to report out the monthly cost reduction actual verses target for CAPEX/Indirect purchase
Lead sourcing decisions and ensure alignment with Global Commodity Strategies
Responsible to work with legal department to insure the legal soundness of the contractual relationships between PO CES and its supply base, within scope assigned
Lead cost improvement ideas generation to implementation by working directly with Industrial team, suppliers and plants to drive cost reductions
Generate purchase orders for all CAPEX requirements
Lead Sourcing decisions for and pull key stake holders for new projects related to program specific and capacitary investments
Manage cash flow and aligned to program expectations
Conduct safety / supplier development assessment audits for current and potential new suppliers as necessary
Work closely with the industrial, program and plant team to establish an effective supply base
Other duties as assigned
Domestic and international travel is required
