Our client, a leading organization in the telecommunications and fiber optics industry, is seeking a dedicated Fiber Optic Instructor Technician to join their team. As a Fiber Optic Instructor Technician, you will be an essential part of the technical training and support team, ensuring the successful installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables in the field. What's the Job?
Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables, including single-mode, multi-mode, and ribbon fiber.
Build and maintain fiber splice closures to ensure reliable connections.
Test and troubleshoot fiber using OTDRs, power meters, and other testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Install and maintain Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) equipment such as ONTs, NIDs, and routers at customer locations.
What's Needed?
Solid knowledge of outside plant fiber systems and fiber optic principles.
Ability to interpret network diagrams and splicing instructions accurately.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and training skills.
