Office Coordinator/Medical Assistant - Middletown Office

Starting at $18/hr.

As part of the recent merger of Best Point and Butler Behavioral Health, we are excited to announce a new opportunity for an Office Coordinator at our Middletown office.

Butler Behavioral Health has been providing high quality behavioral health services to our community since 1948. BBH is seeking an Office Coordinator/Medical Assistant to join our team. Our ideal Office Coordinator/Medical Assistant will be an energetic professional who enjoys wearing many different hats. We are seeking an organized, flexible individual who appreciates the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people and clients.

Responsibilities:

Open enrollment/intake documentation of new clients is completed accurately and efficiently

Take vitals and complete prior authorizations and collaborate with pharmacists

Manage Electronic Health Record data entry involving client financial and insurance information

Provide general support and customer service to clients

Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial documentation

Participate in execution of special projects

Utilizes excellent communication and interpersonal skills, successfully establishes and maintains professional relationships and works effectively with all levels of clients and co-workers

Demonstrates interest in generating ideas and taking action to solve problems, suggesting process improvements for better effectiveness and efficiency

Support coordination and collaboration with program and BBHS staff, network partners and community/financial stakeholders

Treat clients and co-workers with respect, empathy and understanding

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent with minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare environment

Strong communicator, both in written and verbal communications

Good organizational, planning and follow-up skills

Demonstrated excellence in customer service when serving clients and team members
