As a Junior Operations Manager, you will support the Operations Manager in overseeing a team of Technicians and assist in managing the life cycle of JCDecaux assets. You will help ensure both team performance and asset management adhere to the highest standards of the company and comply with current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
What you'll be doing...
Management:
·Assist in monitoring budgetary allocations for materials, resources, tools, and equipment.
·Support the execution of tasks and projects within deadlines and budget expectations.
·Help prepare materials and presentations for meetings, ensuring quality and accuracy.
·Participate in recruitment, training, and shift scheduling for team members.
·Gain a comprehensive understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and support their fulfilment.
·Conduct introductory performance reviews to aid team development.
·Encourage individual contributions within the team.
·Collaborate with other departments to request or supply technical support and maintain professional communication.
·Ensure accurate recording of team activities in company systems.
·Assist in managing ‘out of hours’ callouts and ensure SLA compliance.
·Participate in conducting quality audits and inspections for maintenance activities.
·Attend regional meetings as required and provide input to the Operations Managers.
Health, Safety & Environmental:
·Assist in coordinating the health and safety of team members in line with regulations and company guidelines.
·Work closely with the Health and Safety team to keep training courses for the team up-to-date.
·Help communicate Health and Safety updates and practices to team members.
·Assist in inspecting tools and equipment for compliance and training allocation.
·Support the conduct of regular safety inspections and audits.
·Participate in investigating accidents/incidents and assisting with the preparation of improvement reports.
·Help foster an environment that prioritizes Health, Safety, and Environmental awareness.
Experience & Skills:
·Experience in an operations department or similar role with a multi-discipline team.
·Entry level line management or leadership experience would be an advantage
·Familiarity with street furniture, roadside, retail, or rail environments is a plus.
·Strong organizational and time management skills
·Self-motivated with a focus on improving processes and standards.
·Good investigative and analytical skills.
Apprenticeship
This role will include a Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship and an Institute of Leadership and Management qualification
