Are you passionate about driving environmental change and supporting sustainable farming practices?
We’re looking for a Farm Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Victoria and lead the development and delivery of on-farm sustainability programs that support our suppliers in implementing positive and profitable emissions reduction strategies and environmental improvements. This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
How you will make contributions that matter
As a Farm Sustainability Specialist, you’ll work closely with dairy farmers, our Field Services team and industry partners to promote best practices in sustainable agriculture. You’ll lead initiatives that support Saputo’s global sustainability goals, with a strong focus on greenhouse gas reduction, stakeholder engagement, and technical leadership.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the rollout of Saputo Dairy Australia’s on-farm sustainability programs.
Providing technical advice and support to farmers on environmental best practices.
Facilitating workshops, field days, and training sessions to promote peer learning.
Monitoring and evaluating farm-level sustainability performance using data tools.
Leading greenhouse gas assessments and developing emissions reduction strategies.
Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive change.
Develop and manage data systems to streamline compliance and reporting.
Represent Saputo in sustainability conversations across Victoria and Tasmania.
About you
A valid driver’s license is required for the role
Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Natural Resource Management.
Strong understanding of on-farm sustainability, ideally within the dairy sector.
Experience in greenhouse gas assessments and emissions mitigation planning.
Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, in Farming & Agriculture
High level of communication skills across technical, operational, and leadership audiences.
Ability to work independently and proactively
Willingness to travel regularly across Victoria and Tasmania
