About the Role

We are looking for experienced QA Engineers with strong expertise in API testing and automation using Postman and SoapUI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test cases to ensure high-quality backend services and seamless API integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain test cases for API testing.

Perform manual and automated testing of REST and SOAP APIs using Postman and SoapUI.

Validate API responses, request parameters, and backend data integrity.

Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools.

Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and improve test coverage.

Perform regression testing to ensure application stability after updates or enhancements.

Work closely with DevOps and backend teams to integrate testing within CI/CD pipelines.

Contribute to test automation frameworks and scripts for improved efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API testing and automation.

Strong hands-on experience with Postman and SoapUI.

Solid understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based web services.

Experience in writing and maintaining test cases, scripts, and test data.

Knowledge of JSON, XML, and HTTP methods.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps) is an added advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and deliver results within tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to automation frameworks (e.g., Newman, ReadyAPI).

Basic understanding of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.

Experience with database testing and SQL queries.

Mandatory Requirements for Candidates

Candidates must be available to join immediately or within 30 days.

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in software testing, with a strong focus on API testing and automation.

Proven expertise in Postman and SoapUI for REST and SOAP API testing.

Solid understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based web services.

Experience in writing, maintaining, and executing test cases for APIs.

Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Prior experience in contributing to test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration is preferred.
