Career Opportunity: Operations Manager - Hotel (Nairobi) Rayhun HR Consulting Limited is a leading human resources firm specializing in customized recruitment solutions for businesses of all sizes.

Our client in hospitality industry seeks to recruit for Operations Manager (Hotel). Job Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth execution of daily hotel operations at the hotel.

This role ensures that all departments function efficiently, staff follow operational procedures, and guest satisfaction remains high.

The Operations Manager acts as the key link between the General Manager and departmental teams, translating strategic plans into day-to-day results.

Key Responsibilities Operational Execution & Supervision Supervise day-to-day activities in key departments including front office, housekeeping, kitchen, F&B, maintenance, and security.

Conduct daily operational checks and ensure readiness of all service areas Follow up on duty rosters, shift handovers, checklists, and logbooks Ensure departments open/close on time and adhere to SOPs.

Staff Oversight & Discipline Monitor punctuality, grooming, and adherence to service standards.

Provide real-time supervision, coaching, and direction to team leads and staff.

Address minor disciplinary issues and escalate serious matters to HR and the GM.

Guest Relations & Service Delivery Respond promptly to guest issues, complaints, or requests, ensuring fast resolution.

Monitor service delivery quality and ensure customer touchpoints reflect Sagret’s standards.

Ensure public areas, guest rooms, and facilities are clean, orderly, and well-maintained.

Stock Monitoring & Resource Use Work closely with storekeepers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient stock usage and inventory control.

Monitor consumption trends and flag anomalies to the GM or relevant departments.

Reporting & Escalation Prepare daily activity reports for the General Manager, highlighting issues and successes Participate in daily operational briefings and follow up on open items.

Ensure unresolved matters (maintenance, HR, procurement) are escalated and tracked to closure.

Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.

Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in hotel operations management, with at least 3 years in a senior supervisory or management role within a reputable hotel.

Proficiency in hospitality systems (PMS, POS, housekeeping modules). Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.

Strong understanding of guest service principles and operational SOPs.
