As a Purchasing Specialist at Opportunities, Inc., you'll be at the heart of our operations - ensuring materials are available to meet production goals, strengthening supplier partnerships, and continuously improving purchasing systems and processes. Your work will directly support our mission and the success of our teams across the organization.

What You'll Do

Plan, organize, and manage all activities related to the procurement of materials supporting Operations and production schedules.

Build and maintain supplier relationships that ensure the best value in quality, cost, delivery, and service - while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Prepare and issue purchase orders for inventory items, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.

Analyze vendor quotations using sound negotiation and purchasing techniques to achieve the best overall outcomes.

Identify and drive process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, streamline purchasing operations, and improve communication flow across departments.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Production, and Finance to ensure seamless material planning and supply chain efficiency.

Tackle special projects that strengthen procurement strategies and operational excellence. What We're Looking For

Education: Associate's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in purchasing, materials management, or supply chain.

Experience: At least two years of purchasing or related experience - preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment.

Skills & Traits:

Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.

Strong communicator who builds trusted relationships internally and externally.

Deadline-driven, proactive, and able to balance multiple priorities.
