Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £24,500 - £26,000

Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Leader Group are seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our client’s dedicated team.

If you are passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and want to make a real difference in their education, this is the role for you!

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Mentor and Support Learners: Provide curriculum-based support in the classroom, on home tuition, outreach, and through outdoor activities, inspiring students to achieve their best.

Assist with Learning Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and delivery of objectives, with a strong focus on behavioural management. Both 1-1 and small group support with the classroom.

Monitor Progress: Regularly report on learners’ progress and any barriers to learning.

Engage with Parents/Caregivers: Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers to support each student’s educational journey.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Passion for SEND: A committed and passionate approach to working with students who have SEND.

Experience: At least two years of experience in a SEND environment or a similar unit/provision.

Qualifications: A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous (for the higher end of the salary)

About the educational institution:

This role takes place in a complex needs setting for 8-19 year olds both boys and girls. With a range of moderate to severe learning difficulties and SEMH needs based in Liverpool.
