PGS Worldwide is hiring an Electronics Technician in Oklahoma City, OK for a 9-month contract-to-hire position. This role supports the Advanced Test Support Solutions (ATSS) department, where you’ll help build and troubleshoot specialized test equipment, chassis, and aircraft wire harness assemblies for major defense programs.
Required Skills
Formal electronics training (military or technical school)
Proven experience repairing aircraft wiring and terminating Amphenol or Cannon plugs using soldering or crimping methods
Proficiency using standard hand tools, general test equipment, and meters
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documentation
U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Mil-Std-1553 bus hardware and testing methods
Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and other diagnostic tools
Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
Aircraft wiring or harness repair background in a defense or aerospace environment
Active or previously held Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
Build and assemble rack-mounted chassis and special test equipment to engineering specifications
Perform aircraft wiring repairs, harness terminations, and continuity checks
Troubleshoot and remediate equipment issues during integration and testing
Support system build-up and sell-off activities in collaboration with design engineers
Kit parts, organize materials, and coordinate work across multiple local sites
Assist in developing and implementing test methods for both custom and COTS equipment
Compile data and provide input for refining test procedures and manufacturing processes
Communicate project status and technical progress to the Integration & Test (I&T) leadership team
