Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible as technical resource for customers and factories trouble shooting problems in the field and providing factory start-ups and generally works independently. All aspects of providing technical support and problem solving for customers, factories and outside sales personnel.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform start-ups and service support for lighting control manufacturers, including but not limited to system activation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Identify and implement solutions to technical issues encountered on-site related to lighting control systems.
Program and test control systems in the field to ensure functionality and performance meet project specifications.
Conduct on-site investigations and analyze system performance to identify root causes of malfunctions or inefficiencies.
Make necessary corrections or direct installation teams to resolve issues in the field.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager.
Essential Skills:
Technical Knowledge & Experience
2–3 years of experience working with electrical or low-voltage systems
Knowledge of low-voltage systems and basic logic programming
Basic understanding of electrical power systems
Familiarity with fundamental networking principles
Ability to read and interpret building plans and control system drawings
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Strong analytical thinking and reasoning skills to evaluate alternative solutions
Ability to assess the implications of new information for effective problem-solving and decision-making
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong multitasking abilities and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Other Requirements
Willingness and ability to travel extensively
Must hold a valid driver’s license
Must maintain auto insurance with a minimum coverage of $100,000/$300,000 for injury/accident
