AIG Agency Department drives the company’s growth through its extensive agent and broker network. We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist to turn insurance data into actionable insights. By providing advanced analytics, performance tracking, and clear reports, this role will empower agents and brokers to sell smarter, respond faster to customers, and stay competitive in today’s data-driven insurance market.
How you will create an impact
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders - Ensure smooth system support for agents, quickly resolving issue to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Coordinate testing and optimize system performance - Define and execute testing procedures to enhance system efficiency and support sales activities, developing advanced analytical and technical skills.
Provide documentation and training - Create clear process documentation and deliver tailored training sessions to meet agents’ evolving needs, helping colleagues grow and improving team capability.
Analyze data for sales growth and optimization - Conduct in-depth analysis of system usage, campaigns, and marketing initiatives to identify opportunities, gaining strategic and analytical expertise.
Ensure data quality and integrity - Maintain accurate and consistent data to support reliable reporting and informed decision-making, strengthening your skills in data governance.
Generate actionable reports and insights - Interpret trends and provide strategic recommendations to drive sales effectiveness, enhancing reporting and presentation skills.
Handle confidential data and ensure compliance - Protect sensitive information in line with industry regulations and data privacy standards, building understanding of compliance and data security.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field, with experience in sales support, operations, or data analytics (insurance/financial industry preferred).
Technical & Digital Skills: Strong technical and analytical skills including advanced Excel, SQL, data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), and familiarity with database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), ELT process, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), automation (RPA, Python scripting), and knowledge of data governance and security practices.
Business Knowledge: Understanding of insurance sales operations, CRM systems, and regulatory requirements.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to work across teams and present complex data clearly and effectively.
Analytical Mindset & Adaptability: Detail-oriented, critical thinking, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Continuous Learning & Innovation: Curious about AI, Big Data, InsurTech trends, and continuously seeking to develop new skills: certifications in analytics, BI, or project management are a plus.
