Job Title: Plant Maintenance Mechanic

Overview:
The Plant Maintenance Mechanic I performs routine maintenance and repair work in plant facilities, office areas, and on production equipment. This is an entry-level, hands-on position involving basic troubleshooting, inspection, and maintenance across multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Work in one or more maintenance trades — carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and machine repair.
Conduct regular inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
Use hand and power tools; read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
Support manufacturing operations — assembly, packaging, processing, or distribution.
Report abnormalities in machines and assist in process adjustments.
May participate in shipping, receiving, or inventory control tasks.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
0 years of prior experience (entry-level role).
Basic knowledge of maintenance systems and procedures.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and operate hand/power tools safely.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a supervised environment.
