Postion Overview

A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support preconstruction and large-scale facility projects in the Louisville area. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, provide accurate cost estimates, and collaborate closely with project managers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze bid documents, including bonding, insurance, and wage requirements, to prepare competitive proposals.

Review project specifications and drawings to determine full project scope.

Estimate materials, labor, equipment costs, and prepare detailed project budgets.

Utilize historical data to improve accuracy and cost-effectiveness.

Recommend design solutions balancing cost, quality, and availability.

Assist with negotiations, change orders, and project management support.

Ensure accuracy of final estimate packages before submission.

Present estimates and proposals to clients and management teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (advanced training a plus).

Extensive experience in estimating large-scale construction or facility projects.

Strong technical knowledge of estimating processes and construction practices.

Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Based in or willing to work on-site in Louisville, KY.
