# Building Caring Families Community Organizer Internship

## Position Overview

The Building Caring Families Community Organizer Internship provides hands-on experience in grassroots community organizing focused on strengthening family support networks through authentic conversation and resource connection. Interns work directly with Regional Directors and community coordinators to learn relationship-building skills, community organizing strategies, and sustainable approaches to family support while contributing to real initiatives that prevent family crises before they occur.

## About Building Caring Families

Building Caring Families operates as a collaborative community initiative that transforms neighborhoods through one-on-one conversations rooted in comfort and care. Rather than waiting for families to reach crisis points, we focus on building preventive support networks that address critical challenges including healthcare access, mental health, housing stability, food security, financial empowerment, education, employment, community safety, and civic engagement.

## Core Mission

Our approach centers on the principle that people who have received comfort and support are uniquely positioned to extend that same care to others facing similar challenges.
