We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Controller to join our Accounting and Finance team.

This role will be instrumental in managing and improving our financial systems, providing strategic financial insights, and leading our financial operations to new heights.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing all accounting operations and maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial systems.

This includes: 1.

Overseeing and managing the daily operations of our accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, utilities, and treasury.

2.

Developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

3.

Leading the preparation and evaluation of budgets and other financial operating reports, presenting findings and recommendations to the senior management team.

4.

Collaborating with the IT team to enhance and optimize the use of financial software and systems, including Shopify and Acumatica.

5.

Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

6.

Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting variances back to top management.

7.

Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

8.

Developing and implementing financial control procedures and systems, ensuring the company's financial security.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong foundation in accounting and financial management, coupled with strategic thinking and leadership skills.

Specific qualifications include: 1.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.

2.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role.

3.

Proficient in Shopify, Acumatica, Ledger, Financials, and Annual Budget.

4.

Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 5.

Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to lead a team to meet financial objectives.

6.

Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

7.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

8.

Proven experience in financial systems optimization and implementation.

9.

Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

10.

Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
