STRS Ohio is seeking a Technical Information Analyst 1, to join the Member Benefits/Benefits Administration Management team.

Compensation:
$30.20 - $33.97/ hr.
Work Schedule:
8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday (Onsite)
General Summary:
Under the direction of the manager, Technical Information, collect and analyze statistical and workflow data related to production standards and productivity. Report data to management and identify improvements in production processes and methods ensuring quality service to State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) members and retirees. Audit member accounts, benefit calculations and system security accesses. Maintain the member satisfaction survey process.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Compile periodic and ad-hoc requests for account data, account statuses and statistical information as requested by management using system query software. Provide results to management in the requested formats and timeframes using MS Excel, business intelligence reports and other approved software.
Investigate, resolve and test help desk tickets as assigned.
Collect processing statistics from all processing teams regarding work-on-hand, turnaround times, productivity and accuracy; analyze data and submit results to management monthly.
Analyze and recommend solutions for member account issues, data discrepancies and benefit calculation errors. Apply current and historic business rules and procedures appropriately.
Provide management statistical data with written analysis to establish production standards. Monitor turnaround times according to standards. Prepare regular and ad-hoc management production reports and spreadsheets as directed.
Work with management, supervisors and staff to identify key statistics and develop efficient means for capturing and tracking stats.

Summary of Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field preferred.
Four years of STRS Ohio experience or relevant data and business analysis experience required.
Experience in business system testing preferred.
Proficient with MS Excel; experience with spreadsheet statistical analysis and pivot tables preferred. Ability to use and learn specialized software programs required.
Excellent mathematical, analytical, problem solving and computer navigation skills required.
