Job Title: Developer - Software Engineer II

Location: Kent WA

Duration: 6 months contract with possible extension

W2 only

As part of a development team, you will use the latest architectures and technologies in AWS to accelerate the development and adoption of data-driven software capabilities in service of our mission and beyond. This position requires a passion for innovation, bias for action and a commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Member of a full-stack software development team (Scrum)

Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used

Participate in the development and maintenance of multi-tenant SaaS applications for new and existing capabilities

Actively participate in the different Scrum ceremonies as a team member

Contribute to standards and best practices and coach and mentor fellow and junior engineers

Deep dive into your users’ problems and partner with product managers to find and create efficient solutions

Owning software services for supply chain

Work with latest AI/machine learning models and integrate with software stack for supply chain

Required Qualifications:

Experience with Java or Python

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

5+ years of experience as a software engineer developing with a focus on data engineering and backend development

Experience working on a full-stack software development team in an agile development (Scrum preferred) with at least 3 years working in data engineering with relational and non-relational datastores

Proven ability to learn quickly and develop creative solutions to complex problem

A passion for innovation, learning and sharing knowledge

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate Certification

Experience working in public clouds (AWS preferred) with infrastructure-as-code

Expertise in debugging, profiling, and improving application performance

Experience in design and development of cloud native solutions, micro-services and backend systems

Experience working with in-stream data processing using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar technologies

Advanced level SQL and scripting

Manufacturing and/or Aerospace experience

Experience with data-intensive applications

Can you describe your experience developing and deploying cloud-based applications (e.g., on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to support production business processes?

What frameworks and technologies have you used to build web interfaces, and how do you ensure a responsive, user-friendly experience for operations or supply chain users?

Can you give an example of a time when you automated a manual supply chain or procurement process with custom software? What was the impact?
