We're currently seeking Licensed Veterinary Technician Emergency Lead to join our exceptional emergency department. As the Emergency Lead Technician, you’ll play a key role in overseeing day-to-day operations on the emergency floor while delivering high-level nursing care. This is a leadership position that blends hands-on clinical responsibilities with mentorship and team coordination.

Anticipated Schedule

This is a full-time position

Some holidays are required

Wednesday–Saturday: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Compensation

Starting at $31/hr, commensurate with experience

up to $2,5000 sign on bonus, commensurate with experience and licensure

Requirements

What You'll Do:

As the Emergency Lead Veterinary Technician, you’ll combine clinical excellence with compassionate leadership to keep our emergency service running smoothly. In this role, you will:

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care, including triage, diagnostics, and treatments

Mentor and coach veterinary technicians and assistants to build confidence and skill

Coordinate daily staff assignments and manage workflow for optimal efficiency

Ensure completion of end-of-shift responsibilities before team members depart

Participate in onboarding and training of new team members to foster long-term success

Maintain accurate controlled substance logs and complete daily checks in EzyVet

Act as a liaison between the emergency team and hospital leadership to ensure alignment and support

Monitor and manage staffing needs, shift coverage, and scheduling adjustments

Uphold hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control policies

Attend leadership meetings and contribute to hospital-wide process improvement initiatives

Who We're Looking For:

CVT/LVT/RVT licensure in good standing

Strong technical skills and confidence working in emergency settings

Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience with EzyVet or similar hospital management systems

The ability to delegate, organize, and lead with professionalism

A commitment to patient advocacy, mentorship, and collaborative care
