Job summary: Claybourne is seeking a full-time Material Handler to join our fast-growing cannabis brand in Perris, CA. This role is responsible for managing and organizing raw materials, finished products, and inventory records while supporting production and fulfillment operations. The Material Handler will perform quality checks, maintain accurate inventory data, and ensure production teams have the supplies they need. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management or production support and be highly detail-oriented, proactive, and team-focused. Candidates must be 21 or older and available to work Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform production PR checks (e.g., verifying production requests/records) to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Conduct end-of-production quality control and compliance checks on finished goods.

Processing returned inventory

Updating product menus and inventory levels in real time to reflect current stock availability.

Track raw material usage and coordinate timely stock replenishment to prevent shortages.

Manage and monitor work-in-progress (WIP) inventory, ensuring accurate counts and proper organization.

Stage raw materials and supplies for upcoming work orders so production teams have all necessary items prepared.

Receive incoming supply shipments and verify contents against packing lists or purchase orders (intake & verification of supplies).

Inspect incoming raw materials and finished goods (in coordination with production teams) to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Label and store materials in the appropriate locations with proper documentation.

Update inventory management software immediately upon receiving or using materials to maintain accurate inventory records.

Maintain the rack-and-row storage systems both physically (organizing stock on shelves/racks) and digitally (keeping location records up to date).

Support Customer Service and Logistics and Fulfillment teams as needed to facilitate smooth cross-departmental operations.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.

3 + years Experience in inventory management, material handling, production support, or a similar warehouse/production environment.

Ability to adapt to changes in protocols and industry requirements in a regulated environment.

Basic computer skills for data entry and using inventory software systems.

Great attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and product quality.

Able to work a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Reliable and an excellent team player with a strong work ethic.

Dedicated to compliance with OSHA safety standards, BCC regulations (California cannabis regulations), and all other applicable regulatory guidelines.

Education:

Associate degree in supply chain or equivalent work experience in warehousing and or inventory management.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility during each shift.

Frequent bending, climbing ladders, and reaching to retrieve or store materials on shelves.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

Occasional periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation for inventory data entry and record-keeping.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive compensation package starting at $19 to $21hr (depending on experience) with opportunities for growth + company performance bonus plan.

Benefits: Eligible for full benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.) after successful completion of an initial probationary period of approximately 3-4 months.

Schedule: Standard schedule is 6:30 or 7:30am to 3 or 4pm, Monday through Friday, with some weekend shifts and overtime on weekdays as needed.
