SDS/ OBS Coder (Full-time)

Job Description

Healthcare Coding and Consulting Services (HCCS) is currently hiring experienced and certified Full-Time Outpatient Facility Surgery (SDS) and Observation (OBS) Coders for immediate openings.

These remote positions are ideal for coders seeking long-term, stable opportunities with a company that values accuracy, professionalism, and career growth.

As an SDS/OBS coder with HCCS, you’ll be responsible for accurately coding same-day surgery and outpatient observation encounters, mastering client systems, and consistently meeting productivity and quality standards. We assign coders to chart types and facilities that align with their experience, ensuring you're supported and set up for success.

Position Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years of SDS and/or OBS facility production coding experience

At least 6 months of recent SDS and/or OBS facility coding experience

Active AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC-A and CCA not accepted or considered)

CCS certification preferred

EPIC experience preferred

Ability to maintain minimum standards of productivity and accuracy
