Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Sr. Customer Service Representative at our Corporate Office in Richmond, Virginia. This position requires frequent and accurate communication with internal and external customers including manufacturing and sales personnel.
Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the Sr. Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for the management of order entry procedures from initial placement of order to final invoicing.
Your additional responsibilities as the Sr. Customer Service Representative will include:
Order Entry for Chemicals, Chemical Systems and Tire Fill Divisions in SAP.
Coordinate information between corporate, plant, sales, logistics, and customer.
Manage customer information in SAP (price, terms, freight, and products).
Process, audit, and mail invoices to customers.
Process, audit, and enter SAP billing adjustments.
Maintain daily and monthly sales reports and graphs.
Process and manage all key customer correspondence.
Provide sales support including price letter notifications
Complete paperwork for tote and pressure bottle returns.
Assist plants in processing orders.
Obtain tax certificates.
Maintain customer price quote file.
Answer customer questions and provide feedback as required.
Sales leads lists and screening.
Maintain policy, duties, and group contact list.
Review open order summary for potential issues.
Assist with TDS and SDS documentation as needed.
Maintain quality exception log.
Interact with the credit department to ensure on time shipments.
Control price management in SAP to ensure invoice accuracy.
Assist in orienting and training.
Assist in special projects and other job duties as assigned. Skills/ Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
5 or more years of customer service/sales experience in an office environment
Intermediate typing and Microsoft Office skills including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Experience working in a team environment servicing external/internal customers
