The Job Opportunity and Duties…
Provides general secretarial assistance by performing routine administrative tasks
Acts as receptionist, answers telephones and screen calls and visitors
Open and distribute mail
Maintains files and retrieves information
Composes and answers routine correspondence inquiries
Answer questions and fill requests in areas not requiring personal attention of the Chief of Labor Relations and staff
Reserves conference rooms for meetings, notify individuals involved
Gathers data for special projects, prepares reports both monthly and by request
Establishes logging and follow-up systems
Processes disciplines including entering into database, keeping database current, monitoring deadlines
Processes investigations (including entering database, keeping investigation log current, monitoring deadlines)
Maintains Labor files, including the MOU/LOA database
Types accurate notes of audio recordings
Attend meetings, training and conferences
May give presentations and conduct training
Responds both verbally and in writing to questions and concerns
1 yr. trg. or 1 yr. exp. in secretarial science or business office applications. For positions requiring technical terminology, applicants must also have 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in relevant technical terminology.
