AWS Python Developer w/ AI

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Innovation team is seeking a AWS Python Developer w/ AI to join a Concept Team focused on rapidly prototyping and operationalizing innovative applications. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong Python background and demonstrable experience in AI/ML development. The engineer will help turn conceptual ideas into MVPs, leveraging modern data science libraries and AWS cloud technologies to deliver business value quickly.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop MVPs using Python and machine learning frameworks to support innovation initiatives

Work with data analysis and machine learning libraries to build intelligent, scalable prototypes

Package and manage Python projects with appropriate dependency management tools

Build and consume HTTP APIs using FastAPI or Flask

Utilize AWS services including ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, and SNS for cloud-native deployments

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate rapidly on new concepts

Manage source code using GIT repositories and ensure clean version control

Participate in code reviews and explain complex Python logic to peers or interviewers

Required Skills:

3+ years of hands-on Python programming experience (or equivalent portfolio of work)

Experience with data analysis packages: Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn, Matplotlib

Experience with at least two ML packages: scikit-learn, XGBoost, Keras, TensorFlow

Proficiency with GIT-based version control workflows

Ability to explain non-trivial Python codebases

Preferred Skills:

Python packaging & dependency management: pip, setup.py, pyproject.toml

Experience building APIs using FastAPI or Flask

Calling HTTP services via Python's requests library

Hands-on experience with AWS services: ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS

Exposure to LangChain and MCP (Modular Control Plane)

Strong understanding of innovation lifecycle and MVP development

Certifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
